If you live in Michigan, one of the applicants MUST be a Jackson County resident. If both applicants live in another state, you will need to apply in the County where the marriage ceremony will take place.

Have you ever wondered what that means? What the power is and who exactly has done the vesting?

These aren’t just words, in fact, they are legal words that need to be stated. Only certain people are legally recognized to perform a wedding ceremony and make a marriage legal.

A wedding officiant is a person that meets the requirements set forth by the state to officially perform a wedding ceremony and witness the signing of the marriage license. Officiants have the knowledge on the state marriage laws and will make sure that everything is legal on their end so that you and your significant other can enjoy your forever love together.

Pricing varies between $100 - $200 depending on the ceremony service that you choose. Pricing does not include the travel fee & this will be added in additionally if applicable.
